1/2" Stainless Ball Valve NPT Threaded w/Teflon PTFE Seat & Seal High Temp 400F One of the finest valves available- $485 original cost
These valves are some of the finest you can buy, and were made in the USA by BNL Industries.
Designed and developed as on/off valves for general fluid media
air-water-steam-hydrocarbon) for a large government project. Each valve originally cost $485, (see copy of PO on last photo page) the project has expired and we purchased the excess valves.
These are the finest 3 pieces ball valves on eBay. Look at the weld quality, material and craftsmanship. We’d certainly compare these to any Swagelok Ball Valve on the market.

304L Stainless Steel
304L are also known as 18/8 stainless because of their chemical composition including approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel by weight. They are widely used in the food and drink processing industries because they are easy to form and to weld and have a great resistance to corrosion.
Teflon PTFE Seat & Seal
Teflon: Made from reinforced Teflon, this is the most common sealing material; its chemical compatibility is excellent for almost all media. Temperature -50°F to 400°F.
R. Teflon: 15% glass reinforced PTFE, suitable for temperature -50°F to 450°F, chemical resistance is compatible to virgin PTFE with better wear factor.
Full Port
Full port valves, also known as full bore valves, have no restriction of flow from the original pipe diameter. That means the full port valve will maintain a consistent flow rate. The full port design reduces cavitation (the formation of empty space) and pressure drop.
3-Piece
Why use a 3-piece ball valve: For processes that put heavy demands on valves, having a 3-piece valve is more convenient than one- or two-piece ball valves. When seats and seals need to be routinely replaced, having three pieces allows for easy disassembly, servicing and reassembly without having to do major cutting on the pipe.
Three-piece ball valves also allow for elastomers to be changed to accommodate different process conditions, temperatures, pressures and flows. The big difference between the two is that the body on the 3-piece valve can be taken out without disturbing the two end caps. A two-piece ball valve doesn't often allow this to happen, and it's not possible at all with a one-piece ball valve.
Need to weld the valve in place? Another benefit is being able to move the body with trim out of the way while welding, ensuring the internals stay intact.
PIPE: 1/2" threaded NPT NPS Nominal Pipe Size (NPS) is a North American most common and standard size.
Install can be welded to Butt-weld flanges (aka weld-neck flanges) the flange neck has a beveled end that, when flush to pipe, creates a trough for a strong weld.
With little effort can braze Stainless Steel NPS to brass pipe using brazing filler metals.
Easily create your own NPT Thread with handheld Die-Head Pipe Threader Set-
1/2" NPS 304L Stainless Steel 4.5" Stub SCH40
Also known as Schedule 40, this pipe has a thicker wall than most thin-wall stainless steel unthreaded pipe. Weld it to fittings and additional lengths of pipe. Welded connections are stronger than threaded connections and less likely to leak.
ASME SA106: The pipe is seamless pressure pipe which is commonly used in the construction of oil and gas refineries, power plants, petrochemical plants, boilers, and ships where the piping must transport fluids and gases that exhibit higher temperatures and pressure levels.
Application: general fluid media (air-water-steam-hydrocarbon),
Service Water
Plant Fresh Water
Diesel Air
Reactor Water Cleanup
Radioactive Waste
Chiller Temperature Control
Containment Airlock
Chemical Injection Systems
BNL’s 3-piece ball valve design can be installed in less time than top loaded valves due to its intrinsically simple design. Once installed, maintenance is easy. Simply loosen all bolting, remove the bolting on top, and all valve internals slide out as a single self-contained assembly.
Serviceability – The three-piece ball excels in applications where the end caps are welded or threaded in the pipeline.  The center section is easily removed from the line for servicing or replacement of parts, with no special tools. Entire center sections can be replaced in minutes getting your service back up and running.
The three-piece ball valve is the economical alternative to gate and globe valves, both in initial cost and life cycle costs.  Furthermore, the high level of customization available with the 3-piece ball valve allows the valve to meet the process parameters, not the other way around.
Versatility –Ball valves may be used for on/off service, for limited throttling with standard trim, and more extensive throttling with special trim. Ball valves have low pressure drops and relatively high Cv, exceeding other traditional valve types.  Another advantage is the ability to have different end cap configurations, eliminating the need for pipe reducers/expanders and allowing for greater flexibility.
Reliability – Ball valves provide bubble-tight sealing with little-to-no upstream pressure and their ease of operation makes them a highly reliable option in even the most demanding of situations.  Ball valves are very predictable and have repeatable torque characteristics to ensure years of trouble-free operation whether manually operated or actuated.
American owned and operated since 1987, BNL is well recognized throughout the valve industry for their high-quality products and
Made by BNL Industries, Inc. who serve the defense/marine, power energy, aerospace, process, and commercial industries. BNL valves are designed to the customer’s special requirements and every product that leaves their facility is hand tested. You will find that their quality, innovation, and service will exceed your expectations. BNL operates state-of-the-art CNC machinery in a 30,000 square foot facility.
